2010 Season - Week 9

No canvassing at all last week, did you get my newsletter? The rules are simple - each year one owner (past or present) is honoured by the current owners. All you have to do is email me by December 1st the name you wish to place in the Hall of Fame, Owners Wing. Please note there is no room for narcissism in the BUMS - YOU MAY NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF. Nominations are listed alphabetically on the attached sheet with the 12 current owners not in joined by the 5 former owners Andrew Gulliford, Mark Harris, Paul Privitera Phil Long & Steve Talbot. Let the campaigning begin, why do YOU deserve to be in? Trading Day 2 Trading Day 2 is this Sunday (November 14th) before the week 10 games. Cheryl is planning something Hall of Fame on the food front, so please let us know by this Thursday if you are coming to HQ on Sunday. Obviously you can also trade by email or phone (on the day), or just not bother if you think your team is that good. We will trade at 4pm before the Sky doubleheader and this will set your line-up for the rest of the season. After then the only way you will get to change your team is if one of your players is placed on injured reserve. New available players are attached. The rules are the same as Trading Day 1: we’ll give up any players we wish in the order of lowest scoring owner to highest. Then the lowest owner will select 1 replacement player followed by second lowest and so on. Once the highest scorer has selected a replacement player we return to the lowest and so on until all rosters are full again. You may select players dropped by others but you must end trading with a legal squad (1 x Coach, 1 x Kicker, 1 x QB, 2 x RB, 3 x Receivers). Remember if you cut a Franchise player you must still pay him until his contract is up. The Trading Day 2 order will be:- 1 John, 2 Cheryl, 3 Daz, 4 or 5 Craig or Dave G (Coin Flip), 6 George, 7 Marcus, 8 Ron, 9 Chief, 10 Aaron, 11 AP, 12 David S, 13 Johnnie, 14 Andy H, 15 Wayne & 16 Mark. After Trading Day 2 if any player is placed on IR then they can be replaced on a BUMS roster by a free agent but if you cut a franchise player you still have to pay him. First Coach Fired After Dallas’ disastrous 1-7 start Wade Phillips has been released by Jerry Jones who had said a mid-season change was unproductive. But after another embarrassment he promoted Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Co-ordinator Jason Garrett to Interim Head Coach. BUMS on Seats We are at HQ on Sunday to trade at 4pm followed by Minnesota @ Chicago and St Louis @ San Francisco. We’ll be at H’s on Monday from 6:30pm to see a great AFC match-up as Pittsburgh host New England and back at HQ again on Tuesday from 6pm for Monday Night Football - McNabb Bowl I as The Eagles travel to Washington.
